Partners

RoRoSafe is built to plug into the existing maritime safety ecosystem, not to replace pieces of it. We work across six partner categories. Named partnerships will be announced on this page as agreements are signed and the relevant counterparty has cleared publication.

Classification societies

We engage with IACS member societies on type approval, integration with existing Fire Safety Systems Code references (FSS Code Ch.10/Ch.13), and alignment with emerging battery-fire guidance. Active engagement is underway with multiple societies; specific names will be published as each programme reaches the appropriate milestone.

Hull, cargo and P&I underwriters

We work with marine insurers to define how RoRoSafe-instrumented decks change risk pricing and claims posture. The relevant artefacts on our side are the audit-grade event log, the voyage report, and the post-incident forensics packet — all designed to be admissible in a formal claims investigation.

Vessel operators

Pilots are sized for a single deck on one vessel and structured so the operator can extend to a full vessel and then to a fleet without architectural changes. See For Shipowners for the pilot specification.

Ports and terminals

Port-side deployments cover gate-side EV thermal screening before loading, terminal yard monitoring for vehicles held alongside, and post-incident forensics for EV-related events on terminal land. See For Ports.

Component and integration partners

We integrate marine-grade hardware, communications infrastructure, and bridge-console software from established suppliers. We are selectively open to commercial conversations with sensor manufacturers, marine connector vendors, and bridge-system OEMs. Write to rorosafetech@gmail.com.

Research

We collaborate with university and institutional research groups working on lithium-ion thermal runaway, marine fire dynamics, and sensor fusion under industrial constraint. We can offer access to anonymised bench data and joint-publication paths where the research is relevant to detection efficacy in maritime conditions.
