Compliance
RoRoSafe is built for a regulated environment. This page summarises the regulatory and certification landscape that frames our work and our current position within it. We update this page as programmes advance.
Regulatory references
- SOLAS Chapter II-2 — Fire Protection, Detection and Extinction, with the FSS Code (Ch. 10 fixed gas fire-extinguishing, Ch. 13 means of escape, Ch. 9 fixed fire detection and alarm).
- IMO MSC.1/Circ.1638 and subsequent guidance on safety risks for ships carrying electric vehicles.
- IACS Unified Requirements on cyber-resilience of on-board systems (UR E26, UR E27).
- IEC 60945 — General requirements for maritime navigation and radiocommunication equipment.
- IECEx scheme, where applicable to hazardous-area installation.
Type approval
RoRoSafe does not currently hold type approval from any classification society, and we do not represent that we do. Type-approval engagement with IACS member societies will commence as the engineering revision freezes for first pilot deployment. Once a programme awards approval, the certificate number, date of issue, scope, and validity will be listed on this page.
Information security
Our information-security control set is designed with reference to widely recognised frameworks. RoRoSafe does not currently hold ISO/IEC 27001 certification, and we do not represent that we do. See the Security page for the full posture and the conditions under which a certificate would be listed here.
Data protection
Our personal-data processing is documented in the Privacy Policy. For operator deployments we sign a Data Processing Agreement under GDPR Article 28 in advance of any data being processed.
Patent and intellectual property
RoRoSafe has an Indian patent application pending in respect of a non-invasive mounting innovation. International filings are under consideration. Until the patent prosecution has progressed past the appropriate milestone, the specific mechanical, geometric, and firmware details are not published on this site or in unrestricted material.
Customer security and compliance artefacts
Under NDA we share: the control attestation, the latest external penetration-test summary, the sub-processor list, and the incident response plan. Type-approval and ISO/IEC 27001 certificates are not currently held; if and when they are awarded, they will be listed in this packet. Request a packet from rorosafetech@gmail.com.
