Class-Society-Witnessed Detection Trials
A major classification society sent two surveyors to witness six staged thermal events across two days. Their methodology, our equipment, independent observation.
A classification society does not accept vendor self-certification. They send surveyors to watch the test, document the conditions, and write their own report. Two days, six staged events ranging from sub-runaway thermal anomalies to a full open-cell vent, all witnessed and timestamped by the surveyors.
Event mix
- Two sub-runaway thermal anomalies (controlled heat injection, no venting).
- Two cell-level abuse events (nail penetration, controlled venting).
- One pack-level pre-venting event.
- One full-vent event with active suppression.
The surveyor report is the input to the next phase: type-approval work targeting the 2027 retrofit window. It is the kind of artefact that does not exist as marketing material but matters more than any pitch.

Building the Evidence Package a Class Society Will Accept
Class approval is not a sales document. It is a defensible body of evidence that the system does what the spec says, with reproducible test methodology.
